FROM FT :
so sorry but we should have made certain points clear right at the beginning. some of u readers may be clear of these stuff because u all have been reading the site from the very beginning. but for the "newbies", they probably don't know about it.
so here it is:
Price Comparisons.
well it may not be an appropriate 'name' to some. so, shall we change the title? we were thinking of changing it to "alternatives". just that.
and also, some readers may not know why prices differ so much. is it because the sellers just want to make a higher profit? or are there reasons behind it?
here goes : [have been widely discussed in the earlier stages of this blog]
prices may differ because :
1. some sellers wanna earn more, some sellers settle for less profits. some sellers just want to price their items lower than the popular blogs just to attract more customers.
2. sellers do get cheated by the suppliers. different suppliers charge differently.
3. some sellers hire models to model their clothings
4. some sellers do have an 'offline boutique'. offline boutiques are usually more expensive than online boutiques
5. occasionally, some sellers import their items from overseas, but they didn't know that their items can be bought locally at a much lower price.
6. some sellers MAY HAVE included COD charges & postage charges into their stated price.
[do email us at fashion.truth@gmail.com if we miss out any! ]
anyway,
for now...
the SITE IS UNDER 'CONSTRUCTION'. do bear with us for the time being. lol. not major construction, just wanna draft out a proper "header/intro" so new readers dont get the wrong idea.
sellers/buyers/readers, do email us and give us your feedback on what else we should add on this blog / this header-or-intro / anything to clarify. thank u very much
*wont be updating for the next 3 days. meanwhile, we urge readers to write in to us ya!
thanks!

Hi Fashion truth,
Firstly, I'd like to thank you for creating and doing a wonderful job on the comparison on similar items and giving a chance to others to express themselves. I'm not sure whether i should write this in to you,but I didnt know who else to tell this to.
Actually my frustration is with those online stores which suddenly decide to sell shoes too and do not really give accurate info. I am not sure whether they have really done their stud and homework on the art of selling shoes for example checking on the sizes and also the height fo heels, and giving the accurate answers to customers.
i've encountered more than 3 shops which have given me wrong informations which in the end I can't wear the shoes
The first shop (Shop A) gave me wrong info on the size as well as in the height of the heels. The size although not accurate was ok, as my feet could enter it but had slight crampped feeling. But the info on the heels part was not bearable as it was actually nearly 4.5 inches and what informed was 3.2 inches.Although its not much of a difference but for people who are already tall, it does matter.
Second shop(Shop B) also gave wrong info on heels height. But am flexibel when it comes to the heels part as somehow it can be tolerable. But the ultimate was when this particular shop (Shop C) confirmed to me that the particular size stated on its blog is exactly the vincci size tht i am wearing. The shoes sizing looked a bit different than the usual ones i have seen on other blogs, but assuming shoe sizes did vary I still decided to check with them. When emailed, they said it perfectly would fit..no worries and confirmed that those were the exact vincci sizes. But guess what? When the shoes finally arrived , my feet couldn't even enter them. The best part is, just an apology and they are done. All these shops try to compesante is by saying, we woud find a buyer for you...and that would never ever happen. I was so terribly dissapointed.
My question is how could these shops be so careless and have the don't care attitude when it comes to shoe sizing?
Clothes are fine as it can be altered or something can be done. But shoes? I truly hope that they would check 101 times before stating blindly and confirming 100% to the customers on the shoes being exact vincci or nose sizes. Vincci and nose sizes are same and consistent all the time or at least at most times. So don't come and tell us customers that our we are mistaken on our own shoe sizes and we have mistakenly given the size. Our feet coul not have grown overnight, rite?
That is why we double check and yet these shop owners claim positively that they follow the standard sizes.
Well, they don't!
In my opinion the blogs have sizes which come close to original vincci or nose sizes:- (Mezzanine, Clothesbucket, Oh Popsicles, Autumn Closet, ByBinnie, Kiss & Tell)
To shoe blog owners:
Please do some study first and don't let us down, We customers so look forward towards buying and wearing them shoes as we have gone through the hassle of checking, inquring and confirming with you the seller. And we have so much trust and confidence in you, and when it arrives all the hopes and trusts are dashed when we can't wear them. Its a waste of time and money.
Lastly, Thanks to FT and the blogs I mentioned above!
Renee - A Truly dissapointed shoe lover.

hi fashion truth, i want to complain abt some blogshop owners taking a tremendously long time to reply. for goodness sake, you are running a business, albeit small scale don you think it is some responsibility? i know most of d owners are college students or uni students, but could they at least make time to check their emails at least once a day or in 2 days? my emails can go unreplied for at least 3-4 days, which is very frustrating.
it is even more frustrating when you are browsing and you fall in love with an item and excitedly email the blogshop owner, and check your email countless times a day anticipating a reply from the owner. then, the waiting begins. hours become longer hours, longer hours become days. this sucks you know? then 4 loooong days later you receive a harried email from them explaining some other faster person (oh, the irony) has already snapped up your dress or top or clutch that you wanted so badly and that you are unable to have it, after all the waiting you have done, not to mention the countless longing looks you have given the picture.
this is really frustrating. can you blogshop owners who are so busy until you cannot check your emails at least have the courtesy to leave your hp numbers in the shop, so anxious customers like me can sms in to reserve? at least we can sleep more soundly at night knowing that the dress you were wanting so badly is safely reserved for you.
few of the shops who took ages to reply were minipose, dlookinglass and afittingroomboutique, it is really frustrating.. please have a heart for those crazy shopaholics like me out there.
afittingroomboutique they only replied me in their chatbox, it was 3 days later that i, restless, went back to their shop to have another wistful look at my badly wanted dress, only to realize they had replied me in the chatbox but did not email me even though i left my email there.
those with prompt replies are kissandtell (though its gone a bit pricey these days), french kiss, dainty dresser, and shopaholixbar as well.
thanks for hearing me out. i apologize if i offended anyone out there, this was drafted while in a very annoyed, irritated and pissed mood.

from KISS AND TELL
hey dear fashion truth,
kindly get ur facts right before simply posting up price comparison.
that pink heels mezzanine is selling is so totally NOT the glamourous heels i am selling.
if you notice, the sole is not made out of satin, and the design is totally different!!
how can you just blindly simply posting up heels that are entirely different?!!
gosh.
please be a little more ethical will you?
besides, the 4 inches heels are of different colour, whats the point of the price comparison anyways?
i thought you people only compare items of same design and colour...
kindly remove that mezannine heels as its so totally different. its not even the same height, same quality & design.
thank you.

Hey there,
First of, thumbs up for fashion truth owner. :) awesome blog you have here, awesome reviews and of course the main thing price comparison.
Never did realize the huge gap there.
Secondly, I've read some of the stories. wouldn't go ahead disagreeing or agreeing with other readers.
However, I would say I have started online shopping ever since the starting of the year.
And my very first purchase was from CLOTHESBUCKET, very good impression.
Pictures are really good for me, as its clear and shows up to the very detailed of the piece.
So far i've bought quite a few items from them, reasonable price, wouldnt mind say superb quality if compared with other blog shops.
The owner herself, she's really friendly. I remember buying the preppy pleats from her, and only wore it a few weeks later, but when i wore it, the buttons came off,
and she even offered to exchange for me, but i felt bad so decided not too and just sew them back myself. :) :)
Thank You Clothesbucket for the clothes you bring in..! keep up the good work. :)
Have shopped from CANDY TREATS too. service wouldnt say way to the extend good.
the top i bought from her, was a white tube top, threads werent sew well, material was THIN not as shown in picture.
But me being it was my decision I blame myself didn't bother telling her about it or asking for an exchange.
Recently bought a dress & clincher from KISS & TELL, everything was awesome. :)
the owner was friendly, her price is really affordable. : ) the dress quality wasn't the cheapskate quality.
I would say it felt exactly like the same dress I saw in Forever 21.
and her HEELS are OMFG super pretty. *drools*
too bad they arent my type & my height.
Keep up the good work, babe!! :D
Others that I have purchased from:
Sassy Chic, Oh My Clothes, Little Miss Dollies, XOXO chic, A Model Xcess & A model Studio and cant remember.
Thirdly,
I think this would be my first time experiencing a BAD experience with online shopping.
Before I start off, I hope the owner of the related blog would not get offended.
Sorry.
I mean I have been online shopping for almost 10 months, have always been a fussy customer,
asking sellers questions over questions but have never faced this sorta treatment.
The blog itself, does NOT have any CONTACT METHOD!! not even an email!!!!
Alright they are new, but hey isnt email like the MAIN thing the MUST have??
Yes its partly my fault as I did ask if there were COD service, and the owner have said sorry that they do not have COD service yet.
But me being the KIASU me would really love to do COD so that i could take a look at the item first and save that few $$ of postage,
since I myself am a student ++ on budget.
So i asked again "I know you dont do COD, what about like i meet u at whereever u work/study/stay?"
Does this sound rude?
As the owner replied back "there again and again!"
As from what i've experience, even thou some owners says NO COD, but if its to their convenience they would still do it.
Was it wrong for me to ask again? I was even offering to MEET the owner at whereever is to her convenience not mind.
:S
To the owner, I think you know who you are.
I'm sorry. But I would really suggest you should update on ur T&C as its pretty brief.
Cheers people!!
Happy Shopping.
p/s: if it wasnt for that owner, I think I wouldnt even have written in.

i am a pretty new online shopper and i must say im satisfied with my new finds online, some of it are really awesome! but i had a few bad experiences the first time where i excitedly purchased a dress without enquiring about the height. alas it was a minidress and it barely covered my butt as the model was so petite. that wasted my money but i had no choice so i took it as a lesson.
from thereon i became more careful and started to browse more shops. most owners are very friendly such as french kiss, kiss and tell (very nice!), our mutual passion, tastycherrychapstick, and the closette etc.
however, i want to comment that the closette's prices are sometimes too high >.< i noticed that this satin dress from the closette
http://theclosettesold.blogspot.com/2008/10/satin-print-dress.html
is the same as the one from Ministry of Clothes. the difference? a whole hefty rm20 price difference.
also, the button side shorts from closette is rm11 more expensive than michatoo boutique.
however, i just wanted to draw attention to the price difference. i have no complaints about the closette's personality, she's a very nice person so i do not want to offend. thankss!

i really really like what Reader 39 wrote about.
suggesting good ways in taking photographs!
i would like to comment on certain blogshops which catches my eye and my thoughts on certain of them..
here goes!!
Ministry of Clothes
.jpg)
.jpg)
their photos are really clear and sharp.
i can easily judge the colour of the piece based on the pictures. as it's taken outdoor with natural lightings..
Dainty Dresser

love her pictures. consistent. and she's always smiling!! attracts buyers like me.
sharp clear nice pictures.
Ancient Orchids

alot of her photos are taken based on her reflection on the mirror.
i'm not a fan of her photos. coz she seems to pose in a very odd manner. it's like her body is slanted towards one angle. also, i can't see the bottom of the dress.
Vibrant Swirls

i understand not everyone is able to find another photographer to take their pictures. so the next alternative is, taking photo of yourself! Vibrant Swirls photos are pretty good.
the left one: can see the colour of the dress properly. sharp
the right one: obviously better la hahaha the model must have worn that dress to a function
but again, it's an outdoor shot and these shots usually turn out nicer
Kiss and tell

i dont know why she blur out the picture. it's so blur and i can hardly see the piece clearly!!
and i think she's a little petite. thus, not a very good model. gives people the wrong idea of the dress!
but now she's using mannequin, which.. not to my liking
D Looking Glass

lousy lighting!!
i can hardly see the real colours of the dress!
but pictures are clear
Clothesville

outdoor shots, with greenary as well!
nice. it's really colourful and the pictures are attractive.
too lazy to find more pictures!!
but as far as i remember,
i dont quite like the layout of Clothesbucket, alot of people like it but i find it very complicating. maybe it's because there are too many pictures for one item and the pictures are very big and not very organize (but more pictures are good too, probably the arrangement of the pictures need to be reconsidered)
Clothes For Fun - the model, i dont know why she pouts her mouth that way. a little bit distracting for me. otherwise, not bad!
Dressing Lab - she bends her body too much! but it's ok, apart from that.
The Closette - too much cleavage!! kinda sends the wrong message across
Rainbowmallows - her photos quite bright.
Candy treats - her photos abit distorted. stretched a bit. there may be some errors when uploading or transfering/compressing the photos...
Goddess City - photos super attractive! the way they model, its like the model is some successful business lady.

Stories from Readers 31
first off,
i would like to congratulate fashion truth for having the guts to put this up as
i noe tht she will for sure have gotten many rude n unfriendly emails from many eshop owners.
i have been an avid online shopper for many months now and i have some good experiences as well as some bad ones.
GOOD EXPERIENCES:
-from debutante avenue. i ordered a 2 high waisted skirt n she gave me an rm10 discount!
not onli that, the quality of the skirts were jus lovely! i was very very happy with wad i purchased. she even wore and took countless pics for me to make sure that measurements were wad i wanted!
-from ABLINC. i ordered the miu miu and vintage handbag from her n she gave me rm15 discount! n her service was lovely. she cod with me at 11pm at night because that was the only time that i could meet up with her. i had her waiting for 1 hour and when i finally arrived, she still gave me such a sweet smile and so i knew she wasnt mad with me.
-from Doublewoot. i have to say, this is reli one sweet patient gal! very prompt replies n deliveries! quality is no doubt good.
-from RAINBOWMALLOWS. joanne, i reli love ya! haha.. always sweet with her replies,
and she even reserve up till a month for me! very accomodating to all my enquiries! look forward to meeting u this sat babe!
-from A FITTING ROOM. this gal is always giving me discounts and letting me reserve till i can get the cash to pay her. LOVE YA BABE!!!
-KISS AND TELL. babe. ur service is very lovely! n i love ur stuff! ;p
so far, these are the few boutiques of which i am a regular customer of, n will continue to be.
however, there are a few that i have had bad experiences with.
BAD EXPERIENCES:
-CLOTHESBUCKET. i ordered from her, and the item which i received was not the right size and also, the color is not as seen in d pic. i even asked her whether it was of the same color,
and she said yes. not onli that, she may be all honey here and there, but she likes to rush the cods. if i said i want it next week, she would try to push it up earlier! wad kinda service is that?
and if i said i wanna meet at one place, she would say to meet at another place which i s quite far from the intended place. SERVICE MY ASS.
-SWEET INNOCENCE. i am very disappointed with this blog's service.
the item which i bought from them was not onli of super lousy quality, the color was also very faded. n this was not how they described the item in their blog. they even put their reputation on the line for this piece in their blog! well to me, their reputation is down the drain!
needless to say, i will definately never shop with these 2 blogs again.
i would like to congratulate fashion truth for having the guts to put this up as
i noe tht she will for sure have gotten many rude n unfriendly emails from many eshop owners.
i have been an avid online shopper for many months now and i have some good experiences as well as some bad ones.

Stories from Readers 24
Hello! Came across your blog through Diaryofane-shopaholic and thought I'd write in about the GOOD (or rather, what is good in my opinion) e-boutiques that provide wonderful services at reasonable (although maybe not the lowest) prices since everyone seems to be concentrating on the bad stuff that happens when online shopping! : /
First, just wanna say that I am a frequent online shopper and have bought items from many e-boutiques. And to be honest, the majority of the time, I have dealt with nice, efficient and understanding e-boutique owners. Of course I have had my fair share of rude and inefficient owners but this is very rare.
So here is (in my opinion) the e-boutiques that I have dealt with that provide quality service!
Clothesbucket
Anyone that has dealt with her will agree that she is an EXCELLENT seller! Nice, efficient, patient and understanding. I have bought from her many many times and each time, I am happy with my purchases! She is honest with the descriptions and quality of her items and there have been occasions when I buy something that doesn't fit and she gladly exchanges it for me at no extra charge. Also, all her items come nicely folded (and I suspect she even irons them because they are always in PRISTINE condition!) in a clear plastic bag. Her prices are average and tend to be on the high side but frankly, I'd rather pay the RM5-7 extra and deal with her hassle free and without having to worry if my clothes will be in good condition.

This seller is really one of the friendliest sellers I have ever encountered! Dealing with her was such a joy! And when I met up with her for COD, she was the sweetest girl ever and we even chatted for a bit! Plus, she gave me a discount! (I bought more than one item though!) Her prices are average. Not cheap but not cut throat expensive but like I said, I don't mind paying a little more for good service! And to prove my point further, because they won't be able to do COD due to their exams, they are providing FREE POSTAGE! How's that for good service?

EXTREMELY efficient (met up the next day for COD after I ordered!) very nice and accomodating. Both times that I have bought from her, she arranged the COD to be convenient for me. The second time we COD-ed, I couldn't make it the first 2 or 3 times and she was very patient and unlike some owners tend to do, she didn't threaten to let go of my items if we didn't meet in 3 days. Instead, we found a time that was convenient for both of us to meet and she didn't charge me for COD the second time around. :)
Other e-boutiques that also provide EXCELLENT EXCELLENT service are Dainty Dresser, Dressing Lab, Bucklebuckle, Doublewoot, Clothesforfun, Devilishbunnies, Round bean and Kissntell.
I would like to say something about ALL of these boutiques but it would be very repetitive because they ALL provide very very good service. :) I have NEVER had a bad experience with any of these boutique owners and reccomend them to you 110%!
At the end of the day, it is the relationship you establish between the e-boutique owner and yourself. Some of these e-boutiques that I have mentioned have reserved items for me for weeks (!!) because they know I won't back out and they trust me. Also, I am polite to them! Please remember that they are people to! Do not abuse them just because you think you are giving them business! Plus, I am a regular customer. I have been buying from Dressing Lab since they first opened! :)
And also, it's what you are willing to pay for. Sure, some of these e-boutique prices may be higher than others but you're also paying for a service! Sites like Dressing Lab, Dainty Dresser and Bucklebuckle obviouslysacrifice alot of time and effort to model the clothes, take pictures from every angle so you can see the item properly etc. Some of the cheaper sites don't necessarily take the time and effort to do this.
Lastly, be fair to boutique owners when you ask for a discount if you feel the item is too expensive. Don't expect like RM10 off! It's not fair! They are running a business! And also, I believe it is not ethical to ask for a discount if you are only buying ONE item! It is different if you buy maybe 3 or 4 items. Then I think asking for a discount is fair. Agree?
To all the e-boutique owners, keep up the good work! Online shopping is tons of fun! To all the shoppers, be careful who you deal with! Remember! Online shopping is supposed to be LESS stressful!
