FROM FT :
so sorry but we should have made certain points clear right at the beginning. some of u readers may be clear of these stuff because u all have been reading the site from the very beginning. but for the "newbies", they probably don't know about it.

so here it is:

Price Comparisons.
well it may not be an appropriate 'name' to some. so, shall we change the title? we were thinking of changing it to "alternatives". just that.

and also, some readers may not know why prices differ so much. is it because the sellers just want to make a higher profit? or are there reasons behind it?
here goes : [have been widely discussed in the earlier stages of this blog]

prices may differ because :
1. some sellers wanna earn more, some sellers settle for less profits. some sellers just want to price their items lower than the popular blogs just to attract more customers.
2. sellers do get cheated by the suppliers. different suppliers charge differently.
3. some sellers hire models to model their clothings
4. some sellers do have an 'offline boutique'. offline boutiques are usually more expensive than online boutiques
5. occasionally, some sellers import their items from overseas, but they didn't know that their items can be bought locally at a much lower price.
6. some sellers MAY HAVE included COD charges & postage charges into their stated price.

[do email us at fashion.truth@gmail.com if we miss out any! ]

anyway,
for now...
the SITE IS UNDER 'CONSTRUCTION'. do bear with us for the time being. lol. not major construction, just wanna draft out a proper "header/intro" so new readers dont get the wrong idea.

sellers/buyers/readers, do email us and give us your feedback on what else we should add on this blog / this header-or-intro / anything to clarify. thank u very much

*wont be updating for the next 3 days. meanwhile, we urge readers to write in to us ya!

thanks!

blogroll

e-shops that wants to be added into the blogroll, please send us an email at fashion.truth@gmail.com
would appreciate if u all could link us up too

price comparisons
1. only items which have a price difference of RM7/8 and above will be posted up.
2. the price used for this price comparison is the price stated on the e-shop's webpage. (i understand that sometimes prices for items may vary depending on customers. some e-shops just put a high price as to allow further bargaining by the customers.)

mailing list
we appreciate it if eshop owners remove us from their mailing list. we are not a fashion review site thus there's no need for us to receive mails from u all telling us that u've updated. just add us up and we'll link u up at the blogroll. with that, readers will know when u update.

thank u

No offense to you, but i'd appreciate it if you got your facts straight before writing this post up claiming that we got so much "professional help" according to the owner's blog, what more accusing us of manipulating the colours.

My friend who helped take pictures is NOT A PROFESSIONAL, he just owns a nicer camera. We are all a bunch of amateurs playing around with our hobbies, excuse us if the results came out nicely.

The professional hair and make up was only for the BLYTHE DOLL shoot, yea the one where it is obvious we were clad in heavy make up.
NOT this BACK TO BASICS series with the white wall, that was our own simple hair and basic make up.

Thanks for your compliments on the quality of our pictures. But rest assured we DON'T over-photoshop our pictures until the colours are misleading. As far as we're concerned, this dress "Blue Paradise" is definitely blue in colour, not purple.

Lollipop in Wonderland may beg to differ, they can say it's purple in their opinion, but they shouldn't state so falsely that "that the picture we show in our blog is actually the REAL color of that dress, and not that blue as shown in An Old Flame". That is truly unethical, we believe.

No offense taken, and none meant for you either. We would just appreciate it if you got your facts straight, and not simply accusing us falsely. Thanks.

Since Google does not allow anonymous comments and I do not have an account, I would just like to reply here, which is much more convenient and public. I am not a customer of your beloved Old Flame or Lollipop, but I have to say that you were offensively rude and disgustingly biased and discriminating in your comment.

First of all, please stop assuming that everyone can afford a top-notch camera, professional makeup artiste/photographer/etc. You're being really misinformed in this department, sorry to say.

Secondly, who says that Lollipop will lose out on customers? And I have to say that the way you brought your point across was VERY ill-mannered, to the point of rudeness.

"
lightings no good, lousy colour. the colour of the dress dont look appealing at all. looks like an old dress, can't quite see the designs on the dress. everything looks sooooo 'down'. even though they're selling the dress at RM7 cheaper, but they sure loose out on customers/readers coz of lousy pictures" - reader 149.

Please. What are you trying to accomplish by being dissing someone so blatantly? Assuming that you're a fellow Malaysian who has undergone at least 6 years of Moral Studies, plus a lifetime of upbringing by your parents, teachers, the education system and common sense, I have to say you're a failure. I have looked at both picture, taken a good look in fact, and no, I do not think that it looks like "an old dress". I can see straightaway that it was a similar dress to that in the other blog, and only someone with eyesight as ill as her manners would convince herself otherwise. :)

Are you sure they're losing out on customers, my reader? :) RM 7.00 is NOT a small amount, by any means. Buyers who are smart will willingly pay for a cheaper dress with mediocre pics than an expensive dress with gorgeous pics. Remember, the RECESSION is not over, and we have to be smart when doing our purchases. :) :) :)

I commend An Old Flame for her gorgeous pics. But I salute Lollipop in Wonderland for being the better blogshop owner. If I were to buy from one, it'd definitely be the shop that is easier on my wallet and conscience. And you know which blogshop that is.

hi babe.
i wanna reply to that reader 149.
here it goes:-

Hi Reader 149,Hi Reader 149,
u may want to know that the picture we show in our blog is actually the REAL color of that dress.
it is purplish in color and not that blue as shown in "An Old Flame"
different cameras produces different colors and the lighting contributes to a picture's color intensity.
dun-lah comment till that we are that worthless.
it is sad u know. sniff.

btw, anyone can tweak a picture to make it looks nice without showing the actual color.
Example:-

Reader 149 & Price Comparison

(edited 180109)

picture does make a difference
i honestly pity those blogshop owners who do not have the time/opportunity to take good photos of their clothings. because good pictures does play a REALLY REALLY big role.

not all owners have the time, the correct place, the suitable camera, the appealing background colour, the good poses.... to take good pictures.
and they are a "step behind" from those blogshops that takes good pictures even when their prices are way lower

here's an example :

super awesome picture. so much time were spent on getting the photoshoot done, setting up the new blogshop - got the info from reading the owner's blog. professional photographer, professional make up artist, taken in the studio perhaps. all these contribute to such an amazing shot. it makes readers want to buy that dress!

selling at RM57

maybe u can say they charge more expensive because of nice pictures.
true also.
oh well.

[from FT : An Old Flame left a comment regarding the picture quality and so on. do take note]
just my 2 cents on pictures.
