from A Hugs & Kisses -
Dear everyone/Hugs & Kisses customers,
We are sorry and embarassed. But most of all, we are deeply sorry.
Regarding on this matter below/above, we apologize for the wrong doings, in posting the "Blacklisted Box". Actually, We ve went through (alot) the same matter (Backout buyers) before, over and over again, why can't they learn from it? Or do we (the seller) have to face it and endure it? Is that the best way to solve tis matter ? Do you think the seller will keep silent and just throw away the pain inside? If it's a continous matter, then why not do anything and make a change? Or "unfortunate" us, have to bear it / handle it... for over and over again? It's a heartbreaking. My suggestion is, both seller and buyer should understand each other and at least cooperate professionally, not just disappear / vanish suddenly.. Perhaps, I suggest the buyer to inform the seller about the cancellation order. At least we will know right? A Part of being a seller, myself - I admit I do online blogshopping too. Yes, I am a buyer too.. Yes, for my side, I will always inform the seller if I cancel my order. And they will be ok with it (Well, at least they know, right? It's a good thing for us, to not wait.. n wait.. pending - )v Am I correct? Correct me if I'm wrong ya. It's just my opinion *.*
For posting the "Blacklisted Box" and say names to the backout customers, well dearies, We are very sorry for that.. :( But people will do stupid things when they are angry and annoyed. Ppl make mistakes, and they learn from it, perhaps.. yes, more things to learn. But mistake, makes us a better person if we don't repeat it. But learn from it. Let it be as a lesson.
Right? A lesson for both seller and buyer.
Words cannot express how truly sorry we are for the anxiety, frustration and inconvenience that we caused. This is especially saddening because Hugs & Kisses was founded on the promise of bringing the best clothes, and making the experience of e-shopping happier and easier for everyone who chooses to shop with us, especially for those who thirsts for fashion. We know we failed to deliver the best "perfect" service, we are very sorry for that.
We are committed to you, our valued customers, and are taking immediate corrective steps to regain your confidence in us. We have cleared out the blacklisted box :) & I hope everyone will still enjoy shopping with us in the future. We are confident, as a result of these actions, that Hugs & Kisses will emerge as a more reliable and even more customer responsive e-shop than ever before.
You girls deserved better (a lot better) from us. Nothing is more important than regaining your trust and all of us here hope you will give us the opportunity to welcome you to shop with us again soon and provide you the positive Hugs & Kisses Experience you have come to expect from us.
Regards,
Hugs & Kisses

FROM FT :
so sorry but we should have made certain points clear right at the beginning. some of u readers may be clear of these stuff because u all have been reading the site from the very beginning. but for the "newbies", they probably don't know about it.
so here it is:
Price Comparisons.
well it may not be an appropriate 'name' to some. so, shall we change the title? we were thinking of changing it to "alternatives". just that.
and also, some readers may not know why prices differ so much. is it because the sellers just want to make a higher profit? or are there reasons behind it?
here goes : [have been widely discussed in the earlier stages of this blog]
prices may differ because :
1. some sellers wanna earn more, some sellers settle for less profits. some sellers just want to price their items lower than the popular blogs just to attract more customers.
2. sellers do get cheated by the suppliers. different suppliers charge differently.
3. some sellers hire models to model their clothings
4. some sellers do have an 'offline boutique'. offline boutiques are usually more expensive than online boutiques
5. occasionally, some sellers import their items from overseas, but they didn't know that their items can be bought locally at a much lower price.
6. some sellers MAY HAVE included COD charges & postage charges into their stated price.
[do email us at fashion.truth@gmail.com if we miss out any! ]
anyway,
for now...
the SITE IS UNDER 'CONSTRUCTION'. do bear with us for the time being. lol. not major construction, just wanna draft out a proper "header/intro" so new readers dont get the wrong idea.
sellers/buyers/readers, do email us and give us your feedback on what else we should add on this blog / this header-or-intro / anything to clarify. thank u very much
*wont be updating for the next 3 days. meanwhile, we urge readers to write in to us ya!
thanks!

Dear FT, as an online blogshop owner and buyer myself, I would like to express my view on something.
Recently, I sold a shirt to this girl, A. It was sent through postage and so I told her to inform me onced she received it. And when she did, she complained that the shirt smelled!
HELLOOOO??? Have anyone ever noticed that new shirts or shirt has a particular "new smell"? Including those from MNG, PDI, GUESS etc. I have to admit that that particular shirt's "New clothing" smell was a lil bit stronger than the rest.
For the past few months that I have been running my online biz, I have ever never washed the clothes for sale on my blog (unless there is a slight stain or something) just so the future buyer would know that it is infact, brand new and that I did not take it and wear it for myself and then put it up for sale. Like I said previously, I've bought a couple of clothes from numerous online blogs and I ALWAYS wash them myself when I receive them. I mean you can't expect us to wash every single piece of clothing which we bought to sell to you girls now can we? Plus, some of them have really delicate, handsewn beads and what not and would require washing by hand.
And I would like to ask you all out there. Do you think that blogshop owners should wash each and every piece of new clothing that they put up for sale on our blog? Including those that require washing by hand? Or should we leave it to the buyers to wash it themselves as some of us would find that it still requires washing even after the blogshop owner said it's alrealdy been washed.

Dear FT,
I came across 'ahugsandkisses' website which have this statement on their blacklisted board :
"We are, extremely & deeply sorry that these babes below are in this blacklisted board! Pls do not order from us if you don't want to, and stop making stupid and lame excuses!!!! Midgets!
Blacked-listed and totally out!!!"
I find it very disturbing, while those customers may be wrong...but calling ppl midgets? isn't that very rude?
Just my 2cents!
And nope I'm not the ones on the board, just blog hoping when I found the statement!
Cheers~

hey dear! i've read the article sent in by readers. but yeah, after further consideration, i think it's more rational to put RM3 impossed on every 10 mins late basis! well, the other day, i was suppose to cod at centrepoint. called and text this buyer so many times. yet she keep saying on the way on the way. after 30 mins, she still hasnt appeared. and i left, because i had to rush to the airport to pick my family up! therefore, it was an impulse to put RM5 for every 5 mins late basis. i have already reduced this.
But would this be fair for this person - AAA, to bombard my cbox by saying "AAA: this blog is f***ing stupid. charge ppl for being late. what kind of attitude is that..even so, RM 1 and Rm 5? it'so unfair." directly copied and paste from cbox. a bit too rude and harsh correct?
and i have yet received complaints from MCA's customers! thank God for that!
and please do send my regards to Reader 135. because honestly, i stay in Jalan Ipoh and centrepoint? is 25 mins away + Rm1 toll. :(
have a good day (:

as a human being who can think, on the most beautiful planet in the solar system, i totally don't see any sense in reader 125,
talking about blogshops being environmental friendly has no enough plastic bags giving out to the customers.
when you are expressing about your "just a thoughts".
have you thought of why the weather in malaysia is getting more unpredictable?
have you thought of why are the polar bears swimming in the sea, when they used have some ice to stand on?
read this
overseas hypermarkets are providing plastic bags only when you request upon check-outs, and you have to pay 5 cents of each plastic bag,
else, you can use the paper boxes prepared by them, and carry your groceries home like that. you call those hypermarkets don't have enough plastic bags to give out?
in the end, you are just looking for the item you have bought, then, what happen to the plastic bag?
i urge all blogshops do the same ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLY concept.
please do not be affected by these negative thoughts.

Dear Fashion Truth,
We were just checking out your blog when we came across this issue posted up by Reader 72.
In our defense, we did not mean to supposedly "spam" her. As it is, if you check out our blog, we have a subscription link. Our update notice is only sent to those who subscribe via our Feedburner. And for those rare occasions our email subscription went a bit awry, we sent out an update email by our Gmail account, and that was probably like, 5 times maximum since our operation in September 07.
We guess this unwanted email to Reader 72 probably happened when we just selected all the addresses in our Gmail address book and sent out our update email. And her address probably was in our address book in the first place because of emails sent by other new blogs.
As email users ourselves, we know how it feels to receive spam. So that's why in our update email by Gmail, we also apologised for sending the mail if it was unsolicited, and to let us know if we have included their address by mistake. The moment anyone replied for their email to be removed from the update email, we deleted them one by one.
And a note for Reader 56...
We're sorry that she had a bad experience with us. We're quite certain it's a misunderstanding. Well, no biggie, and hope she continues to enjoy e-shopping.
Thanks for hearing me out FT.
Happy New Year. :)

Hi FT,
Just want to share some of my thoughts regarding the plastic bag and lateness charges.
I believe everyone does shopping and does have/keep some plastic bags or paper bags, why don't we just utilize these?? It’s reusable!! I'm sure buyers will not being particular that this is a paper/plastic bag of some shop/reused and feel bad about it and it will not cost seller a penny. This is a way to go green too.
I'm not trying to pin point anyone. Sellers can prepare a used/some other brand's plastic/paper in case the buyer needs it or in another hand, buyers can prepare own go green bag to receive goods and reject plastic bags that are provided by sellers.
Regarding the lateness issue, I think charging RM5 for 5 minutes lateness ias not that suitable. Maybe in about 15 minute’s time?? I know both party should be on time but then we can be a bit linen, what if the buyer is late know there is a charge and decided not to turn up?? It will be a total loss for the seller and it will end up both parties get nothing.
I believe shop owner is reasonable if any of these happens, there will sure be space of negotiation if there is really an unforeseen circumstances but putting in that way might just scare away some potential buyers and feel pressure on that.
Just my thoughts ya.

Reader 135
Dear Reader 131,
Granted I have never done business with the owner of Mezzanine, but in my humble opinion, I don't think that there is anything wrong with trying to save the environment. Sure, it could be that she is trying to cut costs as well, but at the same time, she is doing the environment a favour. That's killing two birds with one stone, ain't it?
There is nothing wrong if the seller is trying to maximise profit, because that's business. Every shopper should practice carrying their own shopping bags and refusing plastic bags, in my opinion. I myself have made it a habit to carry my own shopping bag around. As everybody should know, green is the new pink ;)
About charging customers who show up late after confirming the time and place for COD, I agree that RM5 for every 5 minutes late is way too harsh. But I can understand why she had to do it. Not all customers are courteous enough to show up on time. The sellers have a life to live too. I'm sure a majority of sellers are merely college students who are working on the sidelines to earn extra cash. That said, they are also bombarded with assignments, projects, exams and whatnot. You can't blame them for drawing the line when it comes to late customers. Customers don't have to run an entire online blog. My suggestion would be for the customers to arrive just 5 minutes earlier than the planned time. I don't need to point out that sellers must be punctual as well, right?
No offence was intended to any party, especially to Reader 131.
To Fashion Truth: I admire you for having the guts to run this blog where all of us, blogshop owners and customers, have freedom of speech. Keep it up!
Reader 134
Helooo there sweetie...
About the little fit on blogs going green and not providing plastic bags.
In my personal own point of view, plastic bags are not expensive but then again why can't the buyers do everyone a little favour and bring out their own bags when they collect their items?
It's it THAT HARD?
It's it THAT HARD?
I'm all out to go Green and its wonderful having blogs which supports this humble act.
We all are humans living in the same world.
We could all do our small part for mother nature and save our dying earth.
Surely those who complaint about blogs going green are IGNORANT about how the acts of mankind has affect the environment.
I think those who complains so much about blogs that do not provide bags should go back to school and get themselves educated.
The bags are just a minor thing but this minor thing can actually play a big part in saving the environment.
Reader 133
Dear FT,
To be frank, I actually support those blogshops who do not give out plastic bags - this is their little effort to get the going green message across.
I am sure with all the publicity in the media, everyone knows how important it is to save the earth from pollution. Plastic is a material that harms the environment - if it ends up in the sea, turtles die eating it (assuming that it is jelly fish)!
Only through reducing the use of the material in the first place, we do not have to resort to recycling at the end of the day.
I don't think it's so much a hassle for the buyers to prepare shopping bags themselves. As a buyer myself, I do not mind at all bringing along a plastic/paper bag with me when I do COD with sellers. They do not take up much space right?
And I noticed that most sellers just put the items in used plastic/paper bags (eg Vincci plastic bags) and I'm totally fine with it. I am looking forward to the items, not the fancy plastic/paper bags provided by the buyer!
I think I shall end here before I sound like an environmental freak, but I would like to stress again that it takes everyone's efforts to make this world a better place.
To all the blogshop owners who initiate this green practise, well done!

another thing i read is the charging customer for being 5mins late. same. if i were the customer i'd jus run away. and if she herself is late for 5mins, every 5mins will deduct RM 1. its so unfair. Rm 1 and Rm 5? 5times wei! i mean, everyone's clock is different so no one can be blamed.
the blog site is http://myclothesaffair.blogspot.com/ . i was stunned to read that !
saying
FOR COD LOCATIONS
A RM5 will be imposed on BUYER for every 5 MINUTES LATE BASIS!
A RM1 deduction on price of goods will be given for every 5mins late for delivery!
*Please cooperate with us as we do not want time to be delayed for both parties! thanks you!

I was wondering if anyone here has bought shoes from either Fringe or AngelFace boutique? If you have, could you please tell me if the shoes are up to standard, and the same as they are depicted in the pictures compared to real life? Also, is the quality good? Cuz I'm wary of buying shoes online, and also buying pre-ordered goods as I'm worried that I might get the wrong size or that the quality is not what I expected based on the pictures. Also, if you happen to wear a Nose shoe size 8, what size best suits you based on their chart? Please please help me out, cuz although I am wary, the shoes are just too GORGEOUS to pass up! Lol. Thanks a whole bunch, I really appreciate it! :)

I would first like to applaud you for a good job done! Price comparisons are really something we consumers need...There are many times I've come across several sites selling their goods at exorbitant price tags, when there is a cheaper alternative of the EXACT SIMILAR piece at another blogshop. I am not talking about a price difference of RM 1 or RM2. That's nothing to complain about, right? :) :) The thing is, I almost choked when I found out that the price difference sometimes hit RM 18.00 or more! Talk about a 200% profit margin...
In times of hardship, we consumers need to buy smartly. That's why I wish to bring the following cases to light. Thank you for setting up this website, Fashion Truth :)
The first piece refers to a set of basic kimonos. Several shops are selling them for under RM40.00, and yet Chubby A Bit is selling them for close to RM 50.00!
The Splurge:
Chubby A Bit
http://chubbyabit.blogspot.com/2008/12/plain-kimono.html
Price: RM 48.00
The Save (1):
Clothes Cottage
http://clothescottage.blogspot.com/2008/12/restocking-basic-kimono.html
Price: RM 34.00

The Save (2):
The Attires' Attic

Price: RM 36.00

The Save (3):
Xoxo.chic
http://xoxo-chic.blogspot.com/2008/11/sweet-rhapsody.html
Price: RM 34.00
The second piece refers to a set of tops. Again, Chubby A Bit prices them almost RM10.00 higher than the alternative. I have sent the owner of the blogshop a comment, and she conveniently deletes it. :)

hullow! i've always liked to get one of those satin handkerchief dresses. Yes there are plenty of blogs selling them, usually Rm50 and above. However, after checking out certain blogs, i did purchased one. Not only that, i came across another blog that sold the same dress, with a much MUCH higher price.
here you go.
Autumn closet :
selling for RM55 after discount.
(before discount RM69)

Absolutely dressed Gallery :
http://absolutelydress.blogspot.com/2008/12/turn-heads-with-loud-prints.html
selling for a shocking, RM104 !
seriously, this is the worst most FAR different price i've ever encountered.
[from FT : ADG is actually a retail boutique. so the things will be more expensive due to higher costs involved. also, this maxi have been seen in many other online shops ]

Hey!!! This is my first time writing to Fashion Truth, though I have been following your blog for quite some time and the price comparisons thing is very helpful.

Recently I came across this nice maxi dress. And to my utter disbelief, the price difference for the maxi between these 2 blogshops is RM10!!!
Peep Boutique
Wild Flowers Maxi (RM62)
Paint Me Maxi (RM52)
Thank you. Keep up the good work!!!

i was bloghopping and saw this at BIBABOT
honestly, i was stunned.
it suddenly seems like enquiring about items has became a "crime" in the online shopping world.
i know that there are many people out there who sends in enquiries to sellers all the time. but i supposed that's because they have at least that slight interest in purchasing it. it all depends on whether the buyer has sufficient cash, or whether the item is nice enough / worth it enough, and for some, whether the seller is nice enough.
i think some customers do not make up their mind to make purchases immediately. they may inquire for the information, and take days, or maybe weeks to decide.
anyway point is, i just find that statement above an irony.
oh and i came across this site that actually fines buyers for being late during COD.
i can't remember the website URL, but if my memory is correct, the seller said something about a 'fine' of RM5 for 5 / 10 minutes late during COD.
it just shows that there are 2 types of sellers. one, willing to wait although they may end up waiting for an hour, and the next type, sellers who probably wants to teach the customer a lesson by giving 'penalty' for late COD. lol if i'm the customer, i think i'll just disappear and not turn up for COD.
... and!
there are sites claiming to be "environmental friendly" *think Ministry of CLothes* by saying no plastic bags/paper bags or wtv will be provided during COD. they expect customers to bring their own shopping bags.
as a buyer, i totally dont see any sense in this. i kinda think the seller dont have enough plastic bags/ paper bags and thought of the easy way out by saying they wanna be "environmental friendly".
(ps*** i checked MOC and i think they removed the "environmental friendly policy" but i'm sure there are many other sites out there having the same concept)
just my thoughts
If you enquire upon an item more than thrice and not buy it, we will not hesitate to blacklist you and we don't want that to happen. (
