FROM FT :
so sorry but we should have made certain points clear right at the beginning. some of u readers may be clear of these stuff because u all have been reading the site from the very beginning. but for the "newbies", they probably don't know about it.

so here it is:

Price Comparisons.
well it may not be an appropriate 'name' to some. so, shall we change the title? we were thinking of changing it to "alternatives". just that.

and also, some readers may not know why prices differ so much. is it because the sellers just want to make a higher profit? or are there reasons behind it?
here goes : [have been widely discussed in the earlier stages of this blog]

prices may differ because :
1. some sellers wanna earn more, some sellers settle for less profits. some sellers just want to price their items lower than the popular blogs just to attract more customers.
2. sellers do get cheated by the suppliers. different suppliers charge differently.
3. some sellers hire models to model their clothings
4. some sellers do have an 'offline boutique'. offline boutiques are usually more expensive than online boutiques
5. occasionally, some sellers import their items from overseas, but they didn't know that their items can be bought locally at a much lower price.
6. some sellers MAY HAVE included COD charges & postage charges into their stated price.

[do email us at fashion.truth@gmail.com if we miss out any! ]

anyway,
for now...
the SITE IS UNDER 'CONSTRUCTION'. do bear with us for the time being. lol. not major construction, just wanna draft out a proper "header/intro" so new readers dont get the wrong idea.

sellers/buyers/readers, do email us and give us your feedback on what else we should add on this blog / this header-or-intro / anything to clarify. thank u very much

*wont be updating for the next 3 days. meanwhile, we urge readers to write in to us ya!

thanks!

blogroll

e-shops that wants to be added into the blogroll, please send us an email at fashion.truth@gmail.com
would appreciate if u all could link us up too

price comparisons
1. only items which have a price difference of RM7/8 and above will be posted up.
2. the price used for this price comparison is the price stated on the e-shop's webpage. (i understand that sometimes prices for items may vary depending on customers. some e-shops just put a high price as to allow further bargaining by the customers.)

mailing list
we appreciate it if eshop owners remove us from their mailing list. we are not a fashion review site thus there's no need for us to receive mails from u all telling us that u've updated. just add us up and we'll link u up at the blogroll. with that, readers will know when u update.

thank u

Stories from Readers 7

A big 'Hello' to Fashion-Truth's Author!

i must say that this blog for one not only gives us an eye opener into the World of Online Shopping (WOS) but also tells us so much about the stories between shop-customer and vice versa.

I am a fan of online shopping and has purchased many items from here to there and come one day i became and owner myself. one very thing i am shocked about when i went through the cbox at diary 'watching' the drama between an unsatisfied customer and an owner of a shop i thought this would never end until well i started clicking on http://fashion-truth.blogspot.com. things are made easier now that i can voice it out here without having to refresh the cbox a thousand times and watch the 'drama' one shot. =)

well lets get to my POV

1. I never thought that an online shop owner would reveal the places she gets her stock from (eve's closet) to customers. i mean even if u want to save a situation or compare, dun give straight details of the place. It's not a very gud idea to do so and thus it mite affect ur business greatly. well unless u wanna do 'charity' work for customers that is. =)

2. for rainbowmallows blogshop owner, i realised this line you wrote,
"Alot of effort have been put in this e-boutique. Everyday without fail, emails will be replied very promptly. Class works were pushed aside in order to keep my customers satisfied about the service. Without fail, there are new updated clothes in my blog every week because i knew buyers are waiting for new and fresh items no matter how busy I am.
I tried to arrange COD once i knew I have empty space in my schedule. But I am force to cancel it off last minute because I've too much of works to do or extra classes. Managing two things at a same time is definitely very difficult. Certain readers are students too therefore i hope students will understand what students are going through, What more if there is another business to handle?

I knew that time management is definitely very crucial. Perhaps there should be improvement regarding this matter. I apologize for this as I understand that it is very common for buyers to get frustrated over this matter."

i noticed you've been in this business for quite awhile and don't you, as a, i would say, 'very successful' (successful in terms of countless restocks), would be able to resolve such simple matters by maybe getting a new second hand phone perhaps or maybe put reminders or maybe even right in your diary to keep in view those customers that are suppose to be entertained on that day. shouldn't you not give excuses that you left your phone at home or these reasons you mentioned just to save a situation. to a 15 year old it mite be reasonable but to a 17-onwards, i think you, a coming to be 21-year old should start taking responsibilities and start writting on your blogshop to remind yourself to bring your handphone instead of restocks. =)

3. regarding the line from rainbows about
"Another thing regarding my COD charges to Sunway. This matter obviously do not happen!
There are no COD charges applied to buyers who meet me in in Sunway during my class days!
I was so shock when I spotted readers giving false information.
COD charges are only applied to Sunway meet up If i were on a holiday or I I do not attend class on that day.

i hope that my buyers will understand why there are COD charges.
Driving up to Sunway itself took me Half an hour as i stay in Klang. how far it is? where it cost approximately 19.20 inclusive fuel and tol charges.

I find it very reasonable to charge a COD fee for RM4.00 to Sunway If i am on a holiday.
Each an every drive = burn fuel = burn money! So why is it so unfair for only seller to understand how buyer's feel, but not the other way round?"

it is reasonable to charge for COD if it's not on the way, tat's up to the agreement between buyer and seller but it wud of course be unreasonable to charge for COD if u're just within the area, area meaning vicinity. if u are at sunway college studying, why bother charging RM4 to COD at SS15? does that mean that you pay two bucks for parking at sunway just to go out to COD and two bucks fare to drive from sunway to SS15? if ever that happened before i reli am suprised because it happened to a customer of mine that came to me and asked me if i charged COD and i said no but she mentioned you charge for COD all the way until she realised you're studying at Sunway and well, when she mentioned it to you, u changed ur mind and said no COD charges when before u gave her that charge. i hope u reevaluate the COD charges. it would do customers from your blogsite good. =)

4. and last note to rainbows, here's something a bit on business for you, if u give your supplier a WHOLE alot of business, why do u still sell your prices relatively higher than other blogshops? just look at the price comparisons and you'll understand why. shouldn't your supplier probably give you a better price or MAYBE you could look for those suppliers from that 300 shops u mentioned that sells cheaper prices and not make the price comparisons so big a diff. unless well, you're there to make the most of it. hope u customers understand that the price comparisons fashion-truth makes are clothes of the same quality, if not 100% at least 98% of it is of better quality. i would say the extras u pay are for what, good talking skills and brand? well customers who are siding too please side your gud points. and to rainbows again, about defects of guds, wun you as an experienced shop owner CHECK the clothes before u buy them for defects? think about that and probably ur customers mite see the change there. =)

5. last point, everybody wants to make money, tat's for sure and well it is natural for someone to wanna rip off someone. human insticts of survival. so customers u shud be smart enough that now u have a nice person who's doing you charity work without payment and letting u see those price comparisons. i thought that diary shud've done that a lil bit earlier but all the comments i get is her trying to be on the neutral side. well Xash to be honest, being neutral is about getting feedbacks of the owner and the customers and not giving everything based on your point of view on the situation. clearly not a way i would see diary's author who has been featured many times before.

so all in all, i wun ask customers to not shop online, online shopping's fun, just be wise la girls, you're not small kids anymore, u're growing up. learn to choose which is better. =)

sorry rainbows, i reli think u shudn't write tat post but to start using the quotes 'action speaks louder than words' so yup, dun have to write such a long post, start taking that time for writting a long post to go out and hunt for a new phone or start buying something to hang ur phone around ur neck. a gud birthday gift i suppose. =)

kudos to fashion-truth!
and to all shop owners and customers out there. happy shopping!!!

hi jayne.
no worries. i understand some are skeptical regarding the authenticity of what posted up.

everything is 100% from the buyers.
no doubt it's not establish yet, but u won't be able to imagine the amount of mails i've received since last night.

there are many buyers out there who are really all out to find these comparisons. plenty!!
i have about 100 items to compare already and simply do not have the time! do note that i'm currently having my exams, i don't have the time to hop around looking for similar items.

so everything here, 100% from buyers =)

thanks!

Hi :) With all due respect, I'd like to clarify that "the source of suppliers" has been mentioned a lot of times by other chatters at the chatterbox. The question has also been publicly asked and answered at a well-known fashion blog http://www.tonguechic.com/articles/59-Where-can-i-find-a-wholesaler-which-sells-great-clothes

I guess it's my bad for assuming that it's safe to disclose that information despite it being publicly talked about by people with anonymous acronyms but don't worry k :) I don't think the customers so semangat to go and buy in bulks. Cheers!

Honestly, i did think of doing price comparisons and all that but it's waaayy too much work on top of what i'm doing now. :)

And the thing about this is i do have comments from both parties as blogshop owners sometimes do e-mail me. [hence, the neutral perspective]

As i've often said, it's a customer's prerogative to say what she thinks/feel if she's had experience. And judging from the conversations, most of them have. (unless of course they're just jumping in the bandwagon).

And as RM (and a few others) has explained, sometimes suppliers prices are different according to blogshop owner. Hence, the difference in prices.
And in places like Low Yat, etc, prices are cheaper than online because some of them are actually the wholesalers themselves, so they can sell it next to cost price. :)

Besides which, all these comments have been said and done before. Ultimately, it's just up to us consumers to discern what is right or wrong (also pointed out before). There are blogs which hike up prices, there are blogs selling cheaper. Just find 'em. :)
And as said before, though i would love to help out in that aspect, i'm short on time =p

So, it's great that this site does just that. =) [though definitely looks like all complaints here, lol]

Also, online shopping is more about convenience as compared to price, originality, etc.
During sale time, prices here and in malls are about the same and you get to see/feel/try on everything there. A better deal definitely. :)
[Not to mention convenience in terms of cutting down time looking for things]

That being said, i do agree partially with Jayne that this is getting out of hand. =)

i'm one of the buyers sending emails to her too Jayne dear. Not everyone is satisfied with the eshops owner (like you?), a lot of us buyers here were cheated and now we need to speak up so that eshops owners (or you're one of them) will not treat us like a fool.

Please don't misjudge fashion-truth. She's just trying to help us to get a better deal too. And not to be cheated by some ridiculous eshops owners that cuts all our throats. grr

just wondering how old is this reader... if she falls in the 21-year old category then i suggest she takes her own advice.

copy and pasting phrases from rainbowmallows' clarifying response and bashing her is just plain low. give the girl a chance! i bet she'll start improving after all the negative publicity she's been getting.

i read in Diary that people think Xash wrote this... but I highly doubt she will put herself in such a risky position as to set hostility with an online boutique.

All diary does is provide a friendly and FREE service. You know what that means? NON-PROFIT. A portal for the CONVENIENCE OF OTHERS. Personally, I don't understand the source of all this defamation. A business owner, may it be a blogshop or kedai runcit, has the right to sell its products at their OWN CHOICE. Should they recieve flak for that? Take this fact into consideration: NO ONE FORCED YOU TO BUY FROM THEM. That's just the way it works. If you feel you were overcharged.(If they overcharge nature will take its course and they will go down anyway), blame not the shop but THY SELF. You jumped at purchasing an item. You Failed to scout elsewhere. Wake up. We're all human. God blessed us not with sharp claws or fangs but the ability to think and adapt. So do it. *This is not aimed at anyone specific. Just food for thought.

no doubt Xash gives free service. but i also noticed that she's not neutral. the way she answers people, its as if she's siding one party. for the drama yesterday (or was it two days ago?), from what she said/wrote, it looks as if she's siding Rainbowmallows all the way. i dont see her siding any other website that enthusiastically. i sometimes wonder what ties does she have with Rainbowmallows.

and again, it's free service. but there are few occasions whereby she acted really ... arrogantly. i was blog hopping when i came to this new e-shop. all she did was accidently advertised at Diary's enquiries box. and Diary bash her back at her (the e-shop) cbox and told her very very rudely that she should advertise at the correct box. i mean.. it's a small matter, she made it look as if it's a big issue..
[i'm not the owner of the e-shop, i just pity her. she's new and trying to make her blog well-known and all she got was rude remarks]

and xash only features certain eshops... not everyone. if u notice, she only feature about 5 e-shops per day. ok fine, i can understand she's busy with uni and all that, but the e-shop she features are always the same old ones.. Rainbowmallows would always be there, for sure (whenever Rainbowmallows update, that is)..

so in my personal opinion, readers go to her blog smiply because there is a blog roll at the left sidebar (to see who has updated) and also the enquiries cbox. that's all. i prefer ashopaholicsden way more than Diary. she's really nice and she's really neutral about all issues.

i'm just expressing my displeasure regarding Diary

as for the issue of sellers charging too high, yea.. i do agree that customers are at fault too. they should have done a survey first before purchasing. but whatever it is, it's quite clear cut that blogsites with good layout, good photoshopping skills, good pretty model, good pictures.. get all the business..

xash said...

Lol. I've never shopped at Rainbowmallows. :) or have any ties with her for the record. Haha.

Btw, when i do reply rudely is because the person has been doing it a few times. Not once. :)
As in, it's on PURPOSE not mistake. I can tell the difference.

Also, do check your sources first. Rainbowmallows is one of the shops where i RARELY feature.

A Shopaholics Den and the Diary approaches things differently. Hers isn't a review per se, rather highlighting the latest update. Mine is definitely more detailed, and not just for the sake of uploading. That's what the blog list is there for anyway.

5 -shops per day? Lol. Definitely not 5 only. If you're comparing, i only review certain clothes. Definitely not those who supplies from Korea/Taiwan/etc. and accessories as well.

Honestly, i welcome constructive criticism, but it'd be good if you get your facts straight first.

Shunzi said...

I understand why you would feel that way, Abigail but I feel there's no way a review site could ever appear 'neutral'. It's a blog which reviews clothes items based solely on the owners personal taste. For Example: If so happens Xash loves the stuff on sale at Rainbowmallow and constantly reviewed them(I'm not saying that she did), it would only mean that she has done her job and there is no way we could fault her(hence the name 'Diary').

Many view this issue in the wrong light. I feel that none of these blogs are 'neutral'. They are just 'biased' towards what they feel as good stuff. I'm pretty sure maintaining these blogs take a ton of time and if money isn't involved, the owners are driven by their sheer passion of shopping and their noble intentions of sharing it with the rest of us. So maybe we won't agree with all of their choices (who could anyway?), but let us not diss them as a show of appreciation. Of course I'm pretty sure they'd accept constructive criticism mailed to them.

There's too much political turmoil in the country already. Lets not let it seep into online shopping because if it does, that would be a sad day for us all.

i do agree with abigail , xash only review certain blogshops especially the famous one .
i remember that 1 of the reader actually mentioned this in xash tag blog and she explained that she only reviewed those blogshop with special item and she normally wont review those with just simple floral dress. i wonder that is it only those famous blogshop with special item?? and we do can see xash review normal floral dress from famous blogshop~!!
xash said that "Rainbowmallows is one of the shops where i RARELY feature"
this is definitely untruth!!!!!
as a reader of diary of an e-shopaholic i can say that xash will always review RM everytime she update her blogshop!!!
lastly , from the STAR interview we know that xash receive discount and gift fr some blogshop , would it included fr RM ??? only they will know
