postage..
recently (well, maybe not too recent), Pos Laju implemented a 25% hike on postage prices.
and because of this, many blog sites have increased their postage charges.
but just so u (readers) know,
Pos Laju charges for 500grams and below is
RM5.92 within WM,
RM8.54 to EM
(this is if seller is staying in WM as well)
some blogsites charges RM 7 - RM 8 for delivery with WM and RM10 for delivery to EM.
they claim that postage prices and they have to pay for envelopes and what not.
anyway, this plastic bag (below) can be obtained from the post offices at no charge.
thus, saving time & energy & money from buying those envelopes and packing the items!

as noted by many, Pos Ekspress charges are still the same.
and one more thing,
many buyers do not know about Registered postage..
Registered postage costs about RM3 for roughly 1 item (dress/top),
and RM4 for roughly 2 items
Registered Postage is as safe as Pos Laju.
only difference is Registered postage takes about 3-4 working days to arrive while Pos Laju takes only one working day to arrive.
Thus, for customers who wants to save on postage and opt for Registered post,
also, sometimes it is cheaper for buyers to opt for postage compared to paying COD charges!

on the safety of registered post, I have some doubts about it, I have heard stories about registered post also can get lost in the mail before. But so far, I am quite happy with Pos Laju and I dare say that Pos Laju's service is top notch. =)
i recently sent out a parcel to sabah and i am from west malaysia as well. the dress was only 250grams and the total i had to pay was RM9.20.. i still have the payment slip with me =S
Sometimes its not about the envelopes, it also counts in the fuel price to the post office, the time waited there, and what nots.
I think there are many hidden costs end users do not know.
hello! dear violetpots, maybe the rate to sarawak & sabah is different. bcause i sent out a parcel to kuching recently and it's only RM8.52 as stated in this post! not too sure!!
and i'm quite confident with malaysian post hahaha surprising huh. but they're quire reliable. i posted an item to an australian buyer and she received it within the stated time frame (stated in the pos malaysia website). i was quite surprise as i thought it would take a much longer time! the same thing happened when i send something to a french customer.
that's in my opinion lar haha
Just so u know, those free plastic bags can only be obtained if u are registered as a company under Pos Laju. They might give it to u when asked, but only 2-3 pcs..
hey hello! regarding the free platic bags, a friend of mine, eshop owner managed to get as many pieces she want. at one go, she got about 10 pieces. but i do think this rule varies based on diff post offices.
thanks
Most e-boutiques state that customers are to bear to cost of POSTAGE themselves. Nowhere does it say that customers also have to pay for your fuel to the post office and your "waiting time" at the post office!
If that is the case, do you also charge customers for replying their emails? Because they are also taking up your time what! If we are already bearing postage and you are making money from us purchasing your clothes, don't you think the least you could do is charge us correctly for postage?
And as for fuel prices, there are post offices almost everywhere. In most housing areas, there will be a post office nearby. I think the MOST your fuel can be is RM3-5. And most e-boutiques post out their items at one go. If you are posting out 3 items, don't tell me the profit from those 3 items cannot cover your petrol cost!
Charging extra for postage is EXTREMELY unfair and I think it is UTTER NONSENSE!

It is not clear enough regarding the postage fee posted in Fashion truth. It is written that items below 500gm is 5.95 but why bother to write below then that buyers in certain blogs are charge with RM7 or RM8?Somesort like we sellers are earning. AS STATED. 500GM and BELOW. What about the heavy items!? Not everyone purchase 1 items, hello? The facts is every one's parcel is different and hence purchases above 3 items are highly encourage to charge with RM8.00. I have a prove from the slip as well. I sent an item after raya where I was charge RM8.45 with three items to Kuala Lumpur, Another parcel RM12.85 to Sarawak with three items! I mean harlow?
If u doubt towards seller's pricing on Pos Laju, then use Pos Express instead for two or three item for the bigger envelope as the price is nett. RM4.00, RM7.00 and so on. We do not earn from postage :)!

Dear cheerleader,
it is stated that customers are to bear the postage fee themselves. As we know postage fee are inaccurate therefore most blog owners set a maximum price. Due to this situation, certain parcel which is lighter lets say 250gm will cost below RM6.00. However heavy items which is about 750GM will cos more than RM6.00! But certain blogshop owners do not ask buyers to pay the extras. This is how it goes :)!
*The bad deed is always said, but what about the good deed?* Please be fair for blogshop owner too.
In most housing area, pos office is everywhere as said. I strongly disagree with this because certain need a ten to fifteen minute drive. RM3-5 fuel?hurmp..Guess not enuff? What if it is located in a shopping mall? The parking ticket? Seller's Do Not Earn From Postage Fee. Yes It is True cheerleader. We Cant Make Profit For Three Items Sent At One Shot. Cant Even Cover Out Petrol PRice Because Items Are Extremely Heavy. :)! Ended up all above RM6 or 7.
Kindly check it out before pinpoint seller's mistake :)! however, it is not advisable to do so :)!
Sorry de-cherry is rainbowmallows :)!
dear rainbowmallows, i seriously don't understand why are u so uptight and stress about it.
it's quite clear cut that i've written the fees only apply for 500 grams and below. this is because almost all sellers put that quotation only. but yes, it is quite obvious and common sense to say that postage prices will increase when the quantity of items increased.
and u also said that "not everyone purchase 1 item", VERY TRUE. but that doesn't mean that everyone purchase more than one item too. probably u would say such thing because u are doing extremely well in your business.
and do note that i did NOT write anything in the post regarding sellers cheating customers on postage prices. it is a FACT that some sellers do change their quotation to that amount (RM 7 / RM8)
this comments section here is for sellers to tell us what they think about it, why they do such thing. so that it clarifies things between sellers and customers.
please do not misunderstand. thank you.
