Since Google does not allow anonymous comments and I do not have an account, I would just like to reply here, which is much more convenient and public. I am not a customer of your beloved Old Flame or Lollipop, but I have to say that you were offensively rude and disgustingly biased and discriminating in your comment.
First of all, please stop assuming that everyone can afford a top-notch camera, professional makeup artiste/photographer/etc. You're being really misinformed in this department, sorry to say.
Secondly, who says that Lollipop will lose out on customers? And I have to say that the way you brought your point across was VERY ill-mannered, to the point of rudeness.
"lightings no good, lousy colour. the colour of the dress dont look appealing at all. looks like an old dress, can't quite see the designs on the dress. everything looks sooooo 'down'. even though they're selling the dress at RM7 cheaper, but they sure loose out on customers/readers coz of lousy pictures" - reader 149.
Please. What are you trying to accomplish by being dissing someone so blatantly? Assuming that you're a fellow Malaysian who has undergone at least 6 years of Moral Studies, plus a lifetime of upbringing by your parents, teachers, the education system and common sense, I have to say you're a failure. I have looked at both picture, taken a good look in fact, and no, I do not think that it looks like "an old dress". I can see straightaway that it was a similar dress to that in the other blog, and only someone with eyesight as ill as her manners would convince herself otherwise. :)
Are you sure they're losing out on customers, my reader? :) RM 7.00 is NOT a small amount, by any means. Buyers who are smart will willingly pay for a cheaper dress with mediocre pics than an expensive dress with gorgeous pics. Remember, the RECESSION is not over, and we have to be smart when doing our purchases. :) :) :)
I commend An Old Flame for her gorgeous pics. But I salute Lollipop in Wonderland for being the better blogshop owner. If I were to buy from one, it'd definitely be the shop that is easier on my wallet and conscience. And you know which blogshop that is.

hi
i'm sorry to say but i dont agree with the things u wrote here. no offense! but here's my point of view on this matter.
the writer may be harsh on her words, i do agree with her and the things she said. it's just really direct and straightforward. not considered rude in my books.
to call one a failure, i think that's rude.
different people have different perspective when looking at pictures.
and u mentioned that u "straight away know that it was a similar dress to that in the other blog". - of coz u would know, it's pretty obvious because it's compared one-to-one. but imagine if u were just another shopper and u have never heard of An Old Flame (it's brand new!), one would probably not have noticed the similarity in these two dresses. like me, i'm a reader of AOF, and i think that their dresses are really nice and all that. but i have NEVER heard of LOLLIPOP. i would never have known that it's the same dress if not for what was posted here.
and it's actually really true that blogshops with good pictures have more customers. try Rainbowmallows, Autumn Closet, Dainty Dresser... these sites have good pictures. and when they update, their items are sold out super quickly. buyers/readers probably wouldn't have the time to slowly find the same dress in another shop or wait for that particular dress to be posted up on FT.
that's why i agree that good pictures attract customers. of course buyers will be more willing to pay for the cheaper dress, but the question is, those the buyer have the time to slowly search at other blogshops to find the exact same dress?
many sellers have said that their prices are low and yet their sales are not good. even when they are selling the same things as the popular blogshops. from what i observe, the clear reason is, their photos, blogpage layout are not as attractive. it's pretty obvious that popular blogshops have good photos, good layout and so on.
hope u get what i'm trying to say.
thanks!
