FROM FT :
so sorry but we should have made certain points clear right at the beginning. some of u readers may be clear of these stuff because u all have been reading the site from the very beginning. but for the "newbies", they probably don't know about it.

so here it is:

Price Comparisons.
well it may not be an appropriate 'name' to some. so, shall we change the title? we were thinking of changing it to "alternatives". just that.

and also, some readers may not know why prices differ so much. is it because the sellers just want to make a higher profit? or are there reasons behind it?
here goes : [have been widely discussed in the earlier stages of this blog]

prices may differ because :
1. some sellers wanna earn more, some sellers settle for less profits. some sellers just want to price their items lower than the popular blogs just to attract more customers.
2. sellers do get cheated by the suppliers. different suppliers charge differently.
3. some sellers hire models to model their clothings
4. some sellers do have an 'offline boutique'. offline boutiques are usually more expensive than online boutiques
5. occasionally, some sellers import their items from overseas, but they didn't know that their items can be bought locally at a much lower price.
6. some sellers MAY HAVE included COD charges & postage charges into their stated price.

[do email us at fashion.truth@gmail.com if we miss out any! ]

anyway,
for now...
the SITE IS UNDER 'CONSTRUCTION'. do bear with us for the time being. lol. not major construction, just wanna draft out a proper "header/intro" so new readers dont get the wrong idea.

sellers/buyers/readers, do email us and give us your feedback on what else we should add on this blog / this header-or-intro / anything to clarify. thank u very much

*wont be updating for the next 3 days. meanwhile, we urge readers to write in to us ya!

thanks!

would appreciate if u all could link us up too

price comparisons
1. only items which have a price difference of RM7/8 and above will be posted up.
2. the price used for this price comparison is the price stated on the e-shop's webpage. (i understand that sometimes prices for items may vary depending on customers. some e-shops just put a high price as to allow further bargaining by the customers.)

we appreciate it if eshop owners remove us from their mailing list. we are not a fashion review site thus there's no need for us to receive mails from u all telling us that u've updated. just add us up and we'll link u up at the blogroll. with that, readers will know when u update.

Dear Fashion Truth,
Awesome site love, it's been very entertaining reading up on what each and everyone has to say. :) I have a lot of shopping experiences online myself seeing that ive been online shopping for over a year already from blogshops to eBay and so on. However, i shall reserve my stories for another time. And being a blog reviewer myself (http://dirtystiletto.blogspot.com), i have quite a number of customers who have shared with me their shopping experiences, in this case, buying shoes online.
What i would like to bring up here is regarding that 'famous size quoting' which many blogshops who are selling shoes like to use: "VINCCI sizing". Yes, Vincci has been made famous by the amount of blogshops referring to their shoe sizes. However, i would like to clarify that VINCCi sizing is NOT ACCURATE. I know for a fact that i have shopped for shoes online and i have customer's tales regarding inaccurate sizing.
My blog receives alot of requests to re-sell their shoes which they have bought online due to the wrong size. By 'wrong size' here i mean that the seller states that a pair of shoe is a VINCCi size 5. And the buyer who wears size 5 vincci shoes assumes that it is the exact same size. However, when she received her shoes, she realized that the size 5 shoe can't fit a Vincci size 5. It could fit a Vincci size 4 and a NOSE size 3 (NOSE has slightly bigger cutting). So she had to re-sell the item in the end.

So this here proves that VINCCI sizing is not accurate. Not that it's the blogshsop owners fault, manufacturers sometimes tailor a shoe to VINCCI's exact measurements, but sometimes they do run out. Even VINCCI themselves have differing shoe sizes. Im a VINCCI size 4 but i am able to fit size 3 and 5 for certain shoes in their store. It's no ones fault, it's probably due to the manufacturing system in the factory which made the shoes (i doubt they use high end technologies in the likes of Gucci and Jimmy Choo factories) XD
I would like to urge sellers to give insole measurements instead. The measurements which are taken from the inside of the shoe from the tip to the back. This is to ensure that your customers are able to measure their own feet and check before they pick a size to buy. It's really heartbreaking for them to have to re-sell them again, seriously. I once bought an awesome pair of Vintage Kate Spade Triby heels from eBay and the sizing was not accurate. Such a shame. I gave it to my cousin instead. :(
And to buyers, shop wisely as well. If the sellers did not provide insole measurements, please request for those measurements so that you do not end up with shoes that are too loose or too tight. After all, you want to make sure your money is spent well on a nicely fitted piece of foot candy right? ;)
There are blogshops who do provide insole measurements too. I once bought a pair of Erins from Lacquer & Lace, and they gave me the proper measurements before i confirm my order. :) Which is how i ended up with a very lovely pair of ankle boots. Shops like Mezzanine Time, Clothes Bucket & Shoessaholic do provide additional info like "sizes are smaller by 1, so if you're a size 35, take size 34". How informative is that? :) The seller from Tasty Cherry Chapstick & Oh! Popsicles were very nice to me too, they even asked me to try on the shoes for size on the spot just in case. So these are some of the things you can provide your customers with because buying shoes is different from buying a piece of clothing. Shoe sizes should be dead accurate, not too loose or too tight.
With all that said, good luck and happy shopping ladies. Great finds are everywhere, just as long as you know how to shop smart, and most importantly, know your size.
xoxo

Clarification from Bouncing Bananas

---------------------------------------------

Dear Fashion Truth,
We have always been an avid reader of your blog and i have just noticed that recently that there has been 2 cases based on The Bouncing Bananas. Im not asking you to take off those claims(cos that would mean they're lying), but i would like to be given a chance to clarify things with these customers here as i believe that there should always be 2 sides to a story.

To: READER 94

Regarding the 2 CODs that we missed, we have already
expressed our deepest apologies as we were having our finals
and the lecturers have sprung last minute workshops and
meetings, and it happened both times too. So we didn't
'ditch' you, we were unable to leave and i clearly remember
texting you about it both times.

As for the free postage, we forgotten that you were buying
shoes instead of clothes (because we usually would give free
pos express) and we definitely cant send your shoes via pos
express. So we decided to cut the RM10 postage price into half
(RM5) instead as postage charges are increasing ridiculously.
We thought that it's only fair that we each bear half the
postage price as the failed CODs were not entirely our fault.
And yes, the wrong size sent was definitely our fault, we admit
to that. We got mixed up somehow and it's no excuse so
we're really sorry for that. But we cannot give a full refund as it
is against our policy so we suggested that we COD to
exchange for the right size instead (as postage is very tedious,
time consuming, and costly). And after we decided to COD
for an exchange(supposedly on Saturday), you suddenly
informed us that you do not want to exchange the size
anymore.

I mean, we did try to fix things even after all our mistakes(for it
was a busy time with 3 final projects on our hand) and we did
make an effort to try to get the right size for you, but you
declined in the end.

And i would like to make a NOTE here that we DO NOT
photoshop our photos at all (except to place the wordings in)
and our photos look the way they are as they are taken with a
Nikon D40x at a very high resolution. And i disagree with you
quoting that "their way of replying customers can be harsh at
times", we tried to be brief during a very busy class and it
might have seemed harsh to you but i can assure you we were
not trying to be rude in any way.

We're sorry that you had a bad experience with us during a
time when we're over loaded with finals and i understand if
you will not want to return to our site again.

But im writing this just to clear things up as i do not like being
on bad terms with customers. Thanks for at least voicing it out,
now we know and we will try to work on improving our
services. :) No hard feelings alright?

Cheers.
To: Reader 93

Well, i do not want to argue with you on this point but i
believe i have given you the measurements for the item and
we really can't arrange a COD just so that you can look at the
pants and decide weather or not to buy. Our online business is
not a huge one and we are busy students, you hav to
understand that. If you want to look and try on clothing, there
are malls for that where people sell skinny jeans almost
anywhere.

The concept of an online blogshop is for you to buy what we
have correctly and accurately stated on our site. I believe that
if you ask most other blogshops, no one would allow you to
look at them item on a COD and then decide to buy it or not.
I know a few or so who do allow you to go to their house and
try on their garments before buying, but you have to
understand that we have different policies and we have the
right to allow/disallow it. As for our case, we don't allow such
a thing. It's just like how when you do pre-orders, you hav to
rely on the images and description, you cant order and try on
first before you decide to buy. It's unfair to the seller as they
have spent time and money to attain the clothing item.

Regarding what you said that our picture is insufficient, i beg
to differ. How different can a pair of jeans look? Our other
customers were able to clearly decide that these are BLACK,
SKINNY CUT JEANS. We did mention jeans, so it's definitely not
cotton. It's denim.

And i have given you the exact measurements of the size that
you enquired about. So i really dont see a point of lodging a
complaint regarding our policies because every blogshops
have their policies, you just did not take the time to read our
Terms and Conditions.

Cranberry bomb is similar to our previous cherry bomb, except that it's a top instead of a dress. However it's equally gorgeous as cherry bomb and is suitable from pants to high waist skirt! =)if you miss out the previous cherry bomb, you know what to do! *winkz*

blow blue bubbles is a dress that we adore dearly! We swear that we did not photoshop the colour, The material somehow reflected it lighter, So actual piece is darker in colour, But it is a really photogenic piece, Beautiful shade of turquoise-ish blue.

for yellow cake, This design reminds me of the previous nautical trend, mixed with a flair of cute ruffles, Simply alluring. Be sweet with some preppy mary jane charm!Love the ruffles and the lemony shade of yellow.cute and sweet, suitable for outings, shopping and hanging out with the girls!

i've recently purchased a pair of heels from bouncing banana.
and i'm not satisfied with their services

i opted for COD and asked for COD TWICE, and i was also DITCHED for twice

Because of that, Bouncing Bananas felt guilty and they offered me free postage which i agreed and accepted the offer. 20 minutes after the agreement, they sent me another sms telling me that they are going to charge me extra RM 5 for postage after we both agreed on free postage.

i find it hilarious and ridiculous and have no choice but to agreed with them as i'm head over heels for this pair of heels.

so after payment and everything, a day later, i received the pair of heels, and guess what, they gave me the WRONG SIZE.
i was furious and upset over it, i messaged them and they took it soo lightly, of course i was extremely dissatisfied.

therefore i asked for refund, but they replied me saying that it's impossible because the heels i bought is not faulty in any way (no problems with it)

*knock knock knock*, you ditched me twice for COD, u failed to inform me beforehand that u can't make it. you only told me that u can't make it when i was there already waiting for u. worst thing is, i had to message u, and then only u told me u can't make it. anyhow, i did not complain much about that

they promised to give me free postage but in the end, they went against their word and charged me RM5 for postage and yet i still didn't complain much.

but now you've sent me the pair of heels in totally wrong size, and that doesn't give you a reason to return me my cash??

also i think their photos are heavily photoshoped and their way of replying customers can be harsh at times."

after that experience i had with them, i told myself i will never go back to them.

Reader 93

i recently browse through the online shops for a skinny jeans.
I manage to find one from a specific blog.
I enquire for measurements and extra pictures.
As the pictures they had were just two, and is not able to see the very details of it.

I wanted pictures of it, but i was told they were busy with assignments and couldnt do so.
I understand that part. So i asked for COD, where to their convenience, they gave me sunway , mount kiara and bkt tinggi i think.
Since the easiest for me was mount kiara, i decided to just drive there, meet them and take a look at the piece.
but please BEAR IN MIND I'M IN NEED OF BLACK SKINNY JEANS BADLY for work.

So i asked nicely,
"and if I were to meet up for COD, and take a look at the pants, and its not to my liking and not purchase it, Would you be okay with that? As i've asked for more pictures, but you girls said u are too busy with finals. So thats my only choice I hope you'll understand."

but all i got reply was this,
"Umm, if you know that it's against many blogshop's policy to COD an item only to have the customer not want it anymore. It's not fair to us as we took the liberty to arrange a time to meet you despite our busy schedule. Moreover, the pictures provided on our website is sufficient enough for our other customers and it isnt fair to allow you to look before buying. What you see on our site is what you get.
So, please make up your mind if you want the item or not cos you either buy it or you dont.
We hope you understand. Hope to hear form you soon."

I know the blogshop owner would know who they are, but please understand i'm just getiing advise here.

Please someone Can you tell me, do I have the rights to take a look at the pants, I mean all i wanna look at the very details, but my chances of buying is HIGH!

Yes i know the rules of what you see is what you get. I've been buying online this whole year, i hardly go to shops to buy anymore.

But the pictures of theirs is just insufficient to me.
The picture attached is from the blogshop.
please someone advise me.

Hi fashion truth.nice blog you have.

i really like this blog.
http://chamber-of-babylon.blogspot.com/
i just bought 2 bottle of diamantes from the blog.
the bottle is not full once it arrive my house.
i told the owner and she's willing to replace another for me.
thank you, but i still think it's okay. im really happy that you reply me politely.

all rite. here's my opinion.
many people like judging blogshop owner in fashion truth.
i wont say you guys are wrong but i think you guys will really hurt them.
they are doing business online and most of them are just students.
they just hope to earn money themselves.
let's say FT post a blacklisted.
now you guys think, if you are the owner, you reserved for her and she just backout without telling you will you feel mad?
maybe somebody will just say never mind.
but for those blogshop owner that are stuents, they'll be happy once the receive order, but if customers just backout without telling them....how will they feel?
maybe people that are sending emails to FT is just online shopper and they dont really know how those owner will feel once they saw what people talk about them here.
you guys are not wrong, but i just think that this blog is really nice, but it will still hurt people.
i write this post because i'm also a blogshop owner.

i hope this doesn't offend anyone and thank you if you read my post.

just want some clarification

what exactly is the definition of BACK OUT?
meaning to say someone who has promised to buy but back out after that?

maybe yes, maybe no
but then again,
what is the definition of "promise to buy" ?
making reservations, is that considered as a "promise to buy" ?

i personally do NOT think so

recently, i took interest in this particular top from a particular shop
and when i asked whether i can reserve it,
she replied me back,
requiring me to fill up the reservation form (i have no problem with this at all ya)
and then at the bottom of the email she said,
i have to pay up within X amount of days (i can't remember)
and she ended with "dont back out ya!"

i seriously am query about this and i definitely do not like how that email ended
maybe it's just me, maybe not

but i dont like it lor!
backing out does not sound like a good word to me

and my opinion on this?
if i suddenly change my mind and decide not to buy it within the grace period, that's not call back out. it simply means i change my mind. i need time to decide about it too!

but if i promised to buy it and kept on promising that i will buy it, and i DONT,
then it's called back out

i do think that blogshop owners should be careful with the words they use
it can be offending at times, they may think it's nothing, but different people understand / take things differently and it's always wise to be careful with the words used when communicating.

Meadowsweet

this kimono is slightly shorter compared to the others,
hehe means u girls out there can flaunt your long sexy legs!
anyway, the pattern of this kimono is indeed unique, the small prints at the top, and the large colourful prints at the bottom. what a pretty contrast!

plain simple kimono suitable to be worn anytime, anywhere.
wonder why we used the name "miss independant",
