FROM FT :
so sorry but we should have made certain points clear right at the beginning. some of u readers may be clear of these stuff because u all have been reading the site from the very beginning. but for the "newbies", they probably don't know about it.

so here it is:

Price Comparisons.
well it may not be an appropriate 'name' to some. so, shall we change the title? we were thinking of changing it to "alternatives". just that.

and also, some readers may not know why prices differ so much. is it because the sellers just want to make a higher profit? or are there reasons behind it?
here goes : [have been widely discussed in the earlier stages of this blog]

prices may differ because :
1. some sellers wanna earn more, some sellers settle for less profits. some sellers just want to price their items lower than the popular blogs just to attract more customers.
2. sellers do get cheated by the suppliers. different suppliers charge differently.
3. some sellers hire models to model their clothings
4. some sellers do have an 'offline boutique'. offline boutiques are usually more expensive than online boutiques
5. occasionally, some sellers import their items from overseas, but they didn't know that their items can be bought locally at a much lower price.
6. some sellers MAY HAVE included COD charges & postage charges into their stated price.

[do email us at fashion.truth@gmail.com if we miss out any! ]

anyway,
for now...
the SITE IS UNDER 'CONSTRUCTION'. do bear with us for the time being. lol. not major construction, just wanna draft out a proper "header/intro" so new readers dont get the wrong idea.

sellers/buyers/readers, do email us and give us your feedback on what else we should add on this blog / this header-or-intro / anything to clarify. thank u very much

*wont be updating for the next 3 days. meanwhile, we urge readers to write in to us ya!

thanks!

blogroll

e-shops that wants to be added into the blogroll, please send us an email at fashion.truth@gmail.com
would appreciate if u all could link us up too

price comparisons
1. only items which have a price difference of RM7/8 and above will be posted up.
2. the price used for this price comparison is the price stated on the e-shop's webpage. (i understand that sometimes prices for items may vary depending on customers. some e-shops just put a high price as to allow further bargaining by the customers.)

mailing list
we appreciate it if eshop owners remove us from their mailing list. we are not a fashion review site thus there's no need for us to receive mails from u all telling us that u've updated. just add us up and we'll link u up at the blogroll. with that, readers will know when u update.

Stories from Readers 19

from a reader..

------------------------------

Just my opinion...

I still feel that it is unfair for blog owners/sellers to charge for COD. As a seller said, each drive equals to burning fuel or money.

But what happens if a seller happens to have to do COD with 3 customers at the same place and each customer is charged, say, RM5 per transaction. Isn't that like RM15 into the seller's pocket at one go? Is RM15 too little for a distance, say Sunway to Subang? I believe to get from Sunway to Subang we only drive, no tolls paid, petrol won't go down a level... none whatsoever. This is only 3 I am talking about. What if there is 10 customers (good business) meeting a seller at a certain place and each cust pays RM5. That's like RM50 easy money and I can already buy a nice dress with that amount of money.. or maybe two!

My point is - already - the seller is earning more or less a bit from the items they sell, is it alright for them to still get money from COD? Isn't it enough that you're already earning from the baju? You get 3 customers at a COD place, the amount of extra earned money from the clothes can already cover your transport bill.

In fact, sometimes as buyers, we tend to opt for COD because we do not want to pay so much for services like pos laju / pos ekpress / whatever in which, sometimes our items might get lost in between... and that's when havoc happens.

Perhaps sellers can discuss the COD charges w buyers according to the situation instead of just placing a fixed price. Be reasonable! And buyers should always learn how to negotiate with the sellers, especially if you're a regular. At least try! You'll never know.
Anyhow, it is still up to the buyer & seller to make their decision so... "it's a free choice market" says it all. Some might say, if you want your items to reach you safely, pay for it. Hmmm. TQ :)

Happy discovering and shopping!

Wow 0.0 Well said! i didnt realize bout the 1 customer rm5, 3 customers rm15 and 10 customers makes rm50! omg that's a lot. and yes that amount of money can buy a dress!

and if the seller earns rm50 per day. IF la. she gets RM350 per week provided she has 10 customers everyyyday.. but it is still WOWWWW. if like that i also wanna sell clothes online. then i'll charge high price on the items, and charge for COD. everything charge! lol..

i, too, dont understand why sellers need to charge for cod when already petrol price has gone down AND AS THOUGH the buyers do not have to travel to collect their items. as though the buyer's vehicle runs on plain water or rain water!!! -_-

so sellers, compromise a little? since you don't have to pay rental and what-nots.. :)

First and for most, we sellers do not earn a single cent for COD charges. Do think in a more logic way instead of only focusing on the RM4.00.

For example:
I drive all the way up from Klang to Sunway but only Charged RM4.00. I only able to cover up my Tol charges but not my fuel(RM16.00 not covered).

And then, the second time. I meet my buyers for COD in a particular place where all of them is charged RM4.00 lets say. Most to most four buyers at a time. And we got RM16.00. Is this call earn?
What about the previous day when we sellers drive up on purpose just to meet a seller but only charge RM4.00 but not cover a single cent for petrol?
Is this been said?
If this is so easy everyone's earning a million bucks thru online boutiques :)!

Logically, is it possible to m eet Ten customers a day? Is it possible to earn RM350.00 a month thru this COD thingy?

What about Phone bills? Phone bills nearly cost about RM400.00 just for buyers! Eh? Did anyone count this in. So do not be so calculative, buyers.

Buyers are the one who chose over COD and are willing to paid. Do not condemn behind regarding the charges then. If u are not willing to pay for the RM5.00, then opt for Pos laju :)! it is beneficial for both party, I promise. Definitely more beneficial for sellers. I knew sellers knew what I meant, and i hope buyers understand how the cyucle goes :)! Thanls!

LOL RM16 for a ride from klang to sunway (excluding toll charges) ?? serious?? i didn't know. for your information, petrol prices are currently RM2.30 per litre. and u drive a MyVI (i know because i cod with u before).. MyVI is not a heavy car, neither is it a big car that consumes alot of fuel..

how on earth do u get RM16 per trip?

anyway, if there's so much trouble with driving all the way to sunway to COD and only charging RM4, and since u say that it doesn't even cover the charges (Toll plus fuel), then why in the first place offer such services??
might as well just ask your buyer to opt for postage. save time save money and maximise your profits.

COD can be arranged according to your convenience. that is definitely something a smart seller would do.

and about phone bills amounting to RM400 per month, i think it's not that relevant because emails are free and u can communicate with buyers using them! most sites prefer it that way and some even specify that phonecalls/text messages will not be entertained.

plus, if u leave your phone at home quite a few times and phone batt seems to run out too, i guess that saves a little money too. dont u think?

well sometimes for certain blogSSS out there, they don't do cod according to buyer's demand.. some state at the sidebar, for eg: COD at ss15, monday. so logically all buyers who wants to cod can only cod on monday.. and if the buyers are accumulated and there's 10 buyers? why is it not logic?

also, how do buyers know if the sellers actually drove from, using the above example, klang to sunway. they can say that came all the way from klang but in fact they came from subang after their class? who knows right? :D if sellers have to pay so much jsut to get to sunway, they can always tell the buyers to arrange for another day / place so that the seller wouldnt have to bear so much cost, right? dont konw la, just what i thought. haha

btw, buyers also have to pay for phone bills because some sellers send sms instead of calling up.. and buyers also have to pay for replying/confirming with the sellers no?

yes, buyers are the ones who chose COD and are willing to pay - maybe because it is out of no choice? they had bad experience with postage service.. so they rather pay for COD than pay for postage? and i believe some sellers prefer cod 1)because they dont have to settle with the hassle of postage (fill up forms, get envelopes, etc) 2)because they can close deals at one go at one place (if you get what i mean)..

!!! sellers please dont take this comment personally. i meant all the above in general. not for rainbowmallows only. tq.

Lydia,

hey babe! i dont remember COD-ing with ya before? Because i do not drive a myvi my dear :)! Its jazz
anyway hack it, which car it is, is not important.

Okay and here I apologize for being wrong regarding the prices as ya stated fuel prices decreases!
Somehow doesn't cover a single cent too honey! :)!
First and foremost. Understand why am i posting that to make buyers understand. I offer such service because I am willing to meet up my buyers for only RM4.00. I didnt mind if my cost are not covered. I didnt make a single noise. But i do not find a reason for buyer whom agree to COD, and then agree to pay, but yi dee ya da here and there here in fashion truth.
I offer such service because I am willing to provide, if u are willing to pay me then stop condemning. Alternative? opt for postage :)!

Dear Flutterby,

i do not know if other e-sellers do that by lying towards their customer regarding the place of origin they are driving from and hence confidence and trust is what is needed in an online transaction. If there is doubt, or lack or confidence then just dont COD, opt for postage for peace.
to be fair, i totally agree with u regarding the phone calls. But then phone calls which sellers bear is much more than buyer. It is not about who pay more, but it is stated in order to let the buyers know not to be so calculative as sellers are not being so calculative.
For example "One seller reply 40 sms a day, but one buyer only send about 5 sms to one seller. So who is the one bearing most cost?"
Whatever it is, this is a good side for price comparison but not talking in an unlogic way :)!
thanks!
