FROM FT :
so sorry but we should have made certain points clear right at the beginning. some of u readers may be clear of these stuff because u all have been reading the site from the very beginning. but for the "newbies", they probably don't know about it.
so here it is:
Price Comparisons.
well it may not be an appropriate 'name' to some. so, shall we change the title? we were thinking of changing it to "alternatives". just that.
and also, some readers may not know why prices differ so much. is it because the sellers just want to make a higher profit? or are there reasons behind it?
here goes : [have been widely discussed in the earlier stages of this blog]
prices may differ because :
1. some sellers wanna earn more, some sellers settle for less profits. some sellers just want to price their items lower than the popular blogs just to attract more customers.
2. sellers do get cheated by the suppliers. different suppliers charge differently.
3. some sellers hire models to model their clothings
4. some sellers do have an 'offline boutique'. offline boutiques are usually more expensive than online boutiques
5. occasionally, some sellers import their items from overseas, but they didn't know that their items can be bought locally at a much lower price.
6. some sellers MAY HAVE included COD charges & postage charges into their stated price.
[do email us at fashion.truth@gmail.com if we miss out any! ]
anyway,
for now...
the SITE IS UNDER 'CONSTRUCTION'. do bear with us for the time being. lol. not major construction, just wanna draft out a proper "header/intro" so new readers dont get the wrong idea.
sellers/buyers/readers, do email us and give us your feedback on what else we should add on this blog / this header-or-intro / anything to clarify. thank u very much

blogroll
e-shops that wants to be added into the blogroll, please send us an email at fashion.truth@gmail.com
would appreciate if u all could link us up too
price comparisons
1. only items which have a price difference of RM7/8 and above will be posted up.
2. the price used for this price comparison is the price stated on the e-shop's webpage. (i understand that sometimes prices for items may vary depending on customers. some e-shops just put a high price as to allow further bargaining by the customers.)
mailing list
we appreciate it if eshop owners remove us from their mailing list. we are not a fashion review site thus there's no need for us to receive mails from u all telling us that u've updated. just add us up and we'll link u up at the blogroll. with that, readers will know when u update.
thank u

I totally agree with you when you said why purchase footwear online when you can get fabulous sales at Vincci or Nose?
I have been in this online shopping thing since Sept 2006. And what I will say later on, is totally based on my experience in these past 2 years.
As a seller, you must always think "out of the box". Not all your buyers will be college students or people who have ample of time sitting in front of the PC for 6 hours surfing the net. There are busy working adults who buys stuff from online as well.
A working adult like myself simply have no time to go shopping because I'm always travelling due to work. And the only reason why I shop online coz it is CONVENIENT.
I can't stress the word CONVENIENT even more.
I'm with my Blackberry all the time and whenever I see something I like, I will just buy it. Everything is done with just a click of the mouse (or keypad if you are using PDAs) and I don't have to even step out of the office to purchase it.
Since I'm working, pricing is not an issue for me as long as it is reasonable.
But some people might not be happy as some buyers are only students living on shoe-string budget. I know how that feels as I was like that too when I still in uni.
If I don't like something (due to pricing or attitude of the seller), I just leave and bring my business to somewhere else whom will appreciate it more.
And we should use all the positive energy we have and channel it to somewhere else instead of wasting time flaming & blaming.
Take up a language course or maybe your MBA.
Thank you for listening.
Looks like Fashion Truth is turning out to be a critical one. :)
Not saying that it's good/bad, because i prefer to keep my blog more on the neutral side.
But well, i guess what with all the discussion around, it's no surprise that this has cropped up.
dear xash,
we're not being critical
most of the things written here are from readers themselves who want to express their dissatisfaction regarding certain blogs.
we are being neutral in the sense that owners are welcome to tell their stories too. i heard many who said that your blog sides the owners more than the buyers. but oh well, that's just a rumour among friends and others =)
no offense ya!
Lol. I'm not so sure 'side' is a very good term. :)
Probably because i partially understand how much effort it takes to maintain a blog--whether a review or a shopping blog.
Even with my review blog i'm pressed for time, what more theirs :)
And on the other hand also, i honestly think there's no point complaining about how high/how low prices are because there ARE other blogshops which sell them cheaper. [also as discussed above why the price difference].
You want to be an online shopper, sure go ahead. And if you're naive one time, learn. Catty comments all the time honestly doesn't help anyone. =/
There is such a thing as 'consumer rights', and by the same token, 'being a smart consumer'. It goes both ways. :)
the both of us have taken a pair each of the Starlights for ourselves. We LOVE the shoes. We certainly hope our customers do too! :)
and I went to Voir in Subang Parade yesterday, saw a similar pair of shoes for 63.90, and the Starlights look waaaaaaaaay better.
So it's up to you to decide. Pay a parking ticket, spend a whole day shopping in a mall to buy something as a last resort, or choose CONVENIENCE and FREE COD (to Subang areas) and purchase online.
Hmm. tough call.
